“Marble sculpted into human form with blowing hair or clad in sheer flowing garments connects with
my artistic sensibilities in a unique way. My desire to translate this art form to functional ceramic objects
for everyday use inspired an exploration of techniques leading to my Marble Dreams series.”
Carol Sullivan came to ceramics 10 years ago through Flower City Art Center. She continues to enjoy
being an active member of that clay community. Having had the opportunity over the years to learn from
instructors, artist residents and visiting artists has been invaluable in helping her develop her artistic voice.
